We’re New Zealand-Owned and Operated
MyStays is a family-owned nationwide company, with a head office in Taupo and a team of Guest Experience Managers (also fondly known as GEMs) throughout the country who are absolute superstars when it comes to ensuring our holiday homes are taken care of. We are a local, committed team who love every part of New Zealand, just as much as you do.
We’re also passionate about being Kiwi-owned, which means all profits are kept here, as well as offering business growth opportunities and incredible holiday experiences for New Zealanders.
Our Background
We know a thing or two about short-stay accommodation. In fact, many of our clients would say we wrote the book on it. MyStays has evolved from Lakeside Accommodation, a local business operating in Taupo.
Founder of MyStays, Elle Knight, took ownership of Lakeside Accommodation in 2014 when it had just eight properties. Less than 10 years later, she has built a team of 30 staff who manage more than 70 properties around the Lake Taupo region - all via word-of-mouth.
Over the years, Elle has established robust systems and processes that allow her to provide an extremely high level of service. This is then passed down to her employees, through best-practice training and development.
There’s no question that the MyStays team are the experts in managing listings, marketing properties and taking care of guest communications. And on the ground - our GEMs are highly skilled in all areas of day-to-day property management, knowing that the details matter when ensuring that guests enjoy their stay.
